Johannes Nitsch, born on July 10, 1953, in Iserlohn, Germany, was a singer known for his work in modern popular Christian music. He began his musical studies at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen in 1971. Nitsch's career gained momentum when he became a music consultant for the Evangelical Broadcasting Corporation in Wetzlar in 1978, leading their music department. He released several albums, including Ein Sänger, Ein König - David (1982) and Jona • Ein Musical (1987), with notable songs like "Jesus, zu dir kann ich so kommen, wie ich bin." Nitsch collaborated with various artists such as Manfred Siebald and Margret Birkenfeld. He also worked for the YMCA in Kassel from 1985 to 1987 and as a music producer at Hänssler Verlag from 1987 to 1994. Nitsch passed away on September 5, 2002, leaving behind over 70 recordings and numerous collaborations.
