Steve Schroyder (born April 29, 1950), born Wolfgang Schröder, was a German electronic music composer, synthesizer player, and organ builder from Stadtoldendorf. Schroyder began his career as an organ builder before joining Tangerine Dream, performing on the albums Alpha Centauri (1971) and Zeit (1972). In 1972, he collaborated with Ash Ra Tempel on the album Seven Up. Schroyder co-founded the group Augenstern in 1980 and began collaborating with Hans Cousto in 1987 to develop music based on harmonic structures. In 1989, he formed the Star Sounds Orchestra with Jens Zygar, producing ambient music for electronic festivals. His solo discography included Klänge Bilder Welten (1990) and Klänge des Lebens (2007). He co-founded Dream Control in 2014, releasing the album Zeitgeber (2017).
