Microclocks is an electronic and rock music group from Germany's Ruhr region. The band gained early recognition through their participation in the Bandwatch funding program of North Rhine-Westphalia, leading to performances at significant events such as Kieler Woche and Eurocityfest Münster. In 2010, Microclocks released their debut album Stars from Diffuse Matter, which won awards for Best Album and Best Video at the German Rock and Pop Award. Their subsequent album, Opinions Are on Sale (2011), featured the single "Is Anybody Out There?", which reached number 8 position on the Deutsche Alternative Charts and number 16 spot on the Native 25 Charts. The group signed with Artist Station Records in 2011 and later with Echozone in 2016, releasing Soon Before Sundown that year. Microclocks is known for addressing sociopolitical issues in their English-language lyrics and became an official ambassador for the social association AH-TA e.V. in 2012.
