Peter Autschbach, born on September 19, 1961, in Siegen, Germany, is a guitarist, composer, and music educator. He initially learned to play guitar himself before becoming a private student of Joe Pass from 1988 to 1989. In 1990, Autschbach completed his jazz studies at the Cologne University of Music with distinction. His career took off when he joined Pete Townshend's rock opera Tommy, performing in approximately 1,000 shows between 1995 and 2005. He also contributed to various musicals including Cabaret (2002) and West Side Story (2004). He also formed the band Terminal A in 1998, which toured internationally. Notable solo albums include You and Me (2014) and Slow Motion (2017). Throughout his career, he has collaborated with notable artists such as Barbara Dennerlein, Philip Catherine, and Joscho Stephan. His contributions to music education include authoring 19 guitar instruction books.
