Lausch is an Austrian post-rock/progressive rock band, founded by Alexander Lausch. As a teenager, he began writing his own songs and released them independently under the name Lausch in 2001 with the help of friends. In 2004, he started performing these songs live as a solo project. The following year, Matthias Ledwinka on drums and Arnold Zanon on bass joined to form a trio. Their debut album Nothing but Not was released in 2007. In 2012, Lausch partnered with Timezone/Rough Trade for distribution, leading to their first Germany concert in 2013. The band achieved significant milestones in Austria, including performances at Nova Rock and Donauinselfest in 2016, and a support slot for Mudhoney. In 2022, singer Ines Dallaji joined the band, contributing vocals to their album Love & Order, released in 2023.
