Formed in Paris under the initiative of Mexican songwriter and virtuoso guitarist Juan De María, his music combines an electric sound with diverse styles such as cumbia, blues, cha-cha-cha, cumbancha, rock and more broadly, rhythms rooted in the urban musical traditions of Mexico City.
Inspired by the psychedelic sounds of the 1960s and 70s, he blends rock with modern Latin guitar.
Juan de Maria’s guitar revives the spirit of classic blues rock in the tradition of Cream, Rory Gallagher, Jimi Hendrix and Santana with a touch of Celso Piña, while traveling all around the world as far as the Tuareg country, Africa, and even into India.
His music proposes an exciting and electrifying show driven by wild guitar solos and a group
comprised of musicians of various ethnicities and cultural backgrounds, providing thunderous drums, wild percussive rolls, and psychedelic keyboards.
