Angelika Nebel, born on August 16, 1947, in West-Berlin, Germany, is a pianist, piano teacher, and professor. She began her musical journey at age eight under Walter Dickmann, who introduced her to J.S. Bach's works. At 10, she was admitted to the Berlin Municipal Conservatory for further studies with Hans Reichert and Walter Dickmann. Nebel continued her education at the Stuttgart State University of Music and Performing Arts under Jürgen Uhde, followed by Werner Hoppstock at the Darmstadt Municipal Academy of Music. Nebel's career took off with performances across Europe and South Korea. She taught at Dr. Hoch’s Conservatory in Frankfurt am Main in 1978 and later at the Robert Schumann University of Music in Düsseldorf until her retirement in 2014. Nebel is also known for championing works by Clara Schumann and other female composers, as well as contemporary music.
