Giovanni Zamboni, born around 1650 in Rome, was an Italian composer and lute player. He mastered several instruments including the theorbo, lute, guitar, mandole, mandolin, and harpsichord. One of his most notable works was Sonate d'intavolatura di leuto Op. 1, a collection of 12 sonatas for archlute published in 1718. He also composed madrigals for four voices, which were later recognized by prominent figures such as Alessandro Scarlatti and Girolamo Chiti. His contributions to Baroque music have been preserved through posthumous releases such as Lute Music (2014) and Sonate d’intavolutara di leuto di Gio Zamboni romano, Opera prima (2021).
