kongens nytorv (dk)
kongens nytorv is the first collaboration between pianist Anders Fradammen and electronic producer Søren Vildling. Son of a pastor, Fradammen grew up in Saksun (Feroe islands) and learnt to play the piano in the church of his father. He then moved to Copenhagen to perform his music and met Vildling during a jam session on the city’s main square Kongens Nytorv. For the recording of spatelaftener, they went back to the home church of Fradammen. This EP presents the shy sound of his melancholic piano, manipulated and pumped up by Vildling’s baroque beats. The result is a hypnotic walk through foggy landscapes in the autumn mist, meeting poisoned sheep and lonely hopping wanderers.
