Jürg Hanselmann, born 23 September 1960 in Grabs, Switzerland, is a Swiss pianist and composer. He began piano lessons with Regina Enzenhofer at the Musikschule Vaduz and later studied with Albert Schneeberger and Kristina Steinegger at the Berner Konservatorium, where he earned a soloist diploma with distinction. Hanselmann has performed throughout Europe and the United States, often collaborating with Sandra Hanselmann as Duo Hanselmann. He has recorded works by Johannes Brahms and Josef Rheinberger. As a composer, he has created numerous piano and chamber works and won the 1st Prize of the "Klang der Welt" competition at the Deutsche Oper Berlin in 2012 for his Ricercare for wind quintet. Hanselmann has received several honors, including the Eduard-Tschumi-Preis in 1980, and is particularly noted for his comprehensive recordings of Rheinberger’s piano compositions.
