Nikon, a Japanese rock band formed in 2023 by Oosuka and Manami Ogaki, originated from Tokyo and Kagoshima respectively. The duo, consisting of Oosuka on vocals and guitar, and Manami Ogaki on vocals and bass, began their musical journey with a unique two-piece lineup that expanded to include support drummers for live performances. Their debut single "step by step" was released in September 2023, marking the beginning of their career. Nikoん's first album, public melodies, was self-released in 2024 and followed by a successful tour. The band gained significant recognition when they were selected to perform at the FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL's ROOKIE A GO-GO stage. In 2025, Nikoん signed with maximum10 under avex and released their second album fragile Report on September 24th, alongside a re-release of public melodies. The band embarked on an extensive tour covering all 47 prefectures in Japan. Their song "(^｡^)// Hai" from fragile Report reached Number 1 on the Billboard JAPAN Heatseekers Songs chart in October 2025, solidifying their place in the Japanese rock scene.
