Agit Prop, a Finnish political music group, was formed the early 1970s. The group's founding members included Pekka Aarnio and Sinikka Sokka, along with the Launis brothers: Tapani, Martti, and Mika. Agit Prop is derived from the Russian term "agitprop," a combination of agitation and propaganda. Their debut album, Agit-propin kvartetti laulaa työväenlauluja, was released in 1972 under Love Records. The group participated in significant events such as the World Festival of Youth and Students in 1973 and 1980. Their second album, Laulu kaikille, was released in 1974. Agit Prop's discography includes Väinämöisen soitto (1977) and the compilation Agit Prop 1970–1977 (1995). The group made a comeback after 2000, performing at notable events like the Provinssirock festival in Seinäjoki.
