Sonia Theodoridou, born Σόνια Θεοδωρίδου in 1958 in Veria, Greece, is a soprano known for her contributions to opera. She completed her studies at the Greek National Conservatory in 1983 and furthered her education with a scholarship from the Maria-Callas Foundation at the Musikhochschule Köln until 1987. Her debut performance was as Iphigénie in Christoph Willibald Gluck's Iphigénie en Tauride at the Landestheater Niederbayern in Passau. Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, she performed leading roles in operas such as Così fan tutte, Don Giovanni, and Il turco in Italia at venues including the Oper Frankfurt and Theater Basel. Theodoridou collaborated with notable conductors like Georg Solti and Zubin Mehta. In 2010, she co-founded the Orchestra Mobile with her husband, Theodoros Orfanidis, and established the label Ηuman Voice in 2011.
