Steve Jerome Rachmad, also known as Steve Rachmad, born on November 19, 1969, in Amsterdam, Netherlands, is a Dutch DJ and techno producer. At age 10, he purchased his first vinyl record, "Lady (You Bring Me Up)" by The Commodores, sparking an early interest in music. By 12, Rachmad began experimenting with vinyl mixing, and at 15, he started DJing in small Amsterdam clubs. His production career commenced in the mid-1980s when he acquired a Roland TR-808 drum machine. Rachmad's debut album, Secret Life Of Machines, was released in 1995 and later remastered and reissued in 2012. Throughout his career, he has released notable singles such as "Asphyx" (1995) and "Sinosphere" (2001). Rachmad is also known for his various projects under pseudonyms, including Sterac.
