Ignaz Dinné, born on May 9, 1971, in Bremen, is a German jazz musician. He started his musical journey by switching to saxophone at age 17 after initially focusing on trombone. In 1992, Dinné joined the Bundesjazzorchester as a soloist until 1994. After receiving a scholarship from the Berklee College of Music in 1994, he moved to the United States and formed his own quartet, touring with notable figures like Wynton Marsalis and Bobby Watson. From 1995 to 1997, he studied at the Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz in Boston. In 1998, Dinné relocated to New York City, collaborating with musicians such as Clark Terry and Jimmy Heath. He released his debut album Back Home in 2004, followed by The Next Level in 2008.
