Pitchtuner, a German/Japanese electronic rock group, was formed in 2001 in Dresden. The band consisted of Johannes Marx, who managed a small recording studio in Berlin and was previously active with Planet 9, Miki Yoshimura from Osaka, and drummer Stefan Weiß. Their initial albums, Flight Up the Winding Stairs (2002) and Spiny Lure (2004), were recorded at home in 2002. The third album, Riding the Fire, released in 2008, was produced with Moses Schneider and featured a robot named PiTuRo developed by Shoxxx. In 2014, Pitchtuner released "Ready to Go" and "Anniversary Song", both under Motor Music. Their seventh album, Dirty Loops, came out in 2022 on Burning Friends Records.
