Antonio Pérez Guerrero, known professionally as “El Sevillano”, was a Spanish flamenco singer born on 15 April 1909 in Seville. He moved to Alcalá de Guadaíra at the age of nine and later left to complete his military service, during which he learned to sing under the master Joaquín de Paula. He achieved professional recognition for his distinctive style of interpreting sevillanas and fandangos. He became known as one of the most prominent performers of the sevillana genre. Alongside his musical career, he worked as a film actor. He lived in Alcalá de Guadaíra until he died on 14 February 1989 at the age of 79.
