Oğuz Büyükberber, born in 1970 in Kayseri, Turkey, is a clarinetist known for blending jazz and improvisation with Turkish and contemporary music. He initially studied design at Mimar Sinan Üniversitesi. Büyükberber began his musical career with the Yeşil Üzümler Modern Dance Group before forming his own band, Kaçan Keçi. His breakthrough came in 1997 with the album Lodos. He studied bass clarinet at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, earning a Bachelor's degree in 2005 and a Master's degree in 2007. Throughout his career, Büyükberber collaborated with artists including Simon Nabatov and Sophie Hassfurther. His work has been featured at festivals such as the Istanbul Jazz Festival and North Sea Jazz Festival. In 2018, he released White with guitarist Marc Sinan, which received international attention.
