Gece, a Turkish alternative/indie rock band formed in 2000, originated from Ankara. The group initially consisted of Can Baydar, Eren Çilalioğlu, Gökçe Balaban, and Erdem Başer. Gece began performing in local venues and reached the final of the Roxy Music Days contest in 2005. In 2008, they released their debut studio album İçinde Saklı. The band gained further recognition with appearances at festivals like Masstival and Rock'n Coke. In 2010, Gece signed with Sony Music and released the single, "Gamsız", followed by their self-titled second studio album, Gece (2011). Notable songs from this period include "Ben Öldüm" and "Yanımda Kal". Their subsequent albums included İyi Niyetli Bir Gün in 2014. Throughout their career, Gece collaborated with artists like Nilüfer on the track "Başıma Gelenler" and released several notable singles, including "Yıldızlar Buradan Yükseliyor" and "Rising With The Stars".
