Born on September 15, 1970 and resident in Quatre Bornes, Mauritius, Sandra Mayotte became a public figure when she started out as a presenter for the Mauritius Broadcasting Corporation. Parallel to her media activities, she embarked on a career in the music world. Initially a backing vocalist for the group Cassiya, she went on to perform under her own name, becoming a representative of sega. With several emblematic titles in the style, such as "Kot sa li fine alé", the Mauritian singer was spotted, then rewarded, as best female artist in East Africa by the Kora Awards in 2001, becoming the first Mauritian to win the competition. Following a number of albums, including Kayambo and Voisin Voisine , produced in collaboration with Désiré François, Sandra Mayotte blossomed on the small screen and gradually became a television figure, appointed in January 2018 to host the show Qui veut gagner des millions? Years later, and with a career that includes albums such as Makalapo (2002) and Danse Sa Pou Moi (2007), Sandra Mayotte resurfaced on the music scene with a new track, "Mo enn fam fort", released in 2021.
