Sweet Thursday was an English rock band active in the late-1960s. The group included notable musicians such as session keyboard player Nicky Hopkins, folk guitarist and singer Alun Davies, and singer-songwriter Jon Mark. Other members were drummer Harvey Burns and songwriter Brian Odgers. In 1968, the band released their first single "Getting It Together" through Tetragrammaton Records. Their lone album Sweet Thursday was released in 1969, featuring the ten-minute-long progressive rock track "Gilbert Street," written by Patrick Gunning. The record company went bust soon after the album's release, leading to Sweet Thursday's dissolution.
