Herbert Prikopa, born on November 30, 1935, in Vienna, was an Austrian television presenter, conductor, opera tenor singer, actor, composer, writer, pianist, and cabaret artist. He began his career at the age of 19 as a répétiteur at the Volksoper Wien. In 1957, he became a singer at the Wiener Kammeroper and later joined the Namenloses Ensemble led by Gerhard Bronner in the humorous show Brettl vorm Klavier. Prikopa's musical career included directing and conducting the Wiener Johann Strauß Konzert Gala from 1998 to 2008. His contributions to television and film were extensive, with notable appearances in productions like Sissi face à son destin (1957) and Mesmer (1994). He released several albums, including Visit To Chimera (1995) and Thinking Positively (Self-Development By Self Suggestion). Prikopa passed away on December 8, 2015.
