Dismal Euphony were a Norwegian metal band from Stavanger formed in 1992. They initially began as a cover band named The Headless Children. They later added Erik Borgen on vocals and Kenneth Bergsagel on guitar, changing their name to Carnal Tomb. They transitioned to Dismal Euphony, officially forming in 1995 with a lineup that included Linn "Keltziva" Achre Tveit on vocals and Elin Overskott on keyboards. Their first demo, Spellbound, released in 1995, garnered significant European interest. They signed with Napalm Records, re-releasing the demo as the EP Dismal Euphony in 1996. Their debut full-length album, Soria Moria Slott, followed that same year. They disbanded in 2001 following the release of Python Zero. Elin Overskott died in 2004. Other album releases included Autumn Leaves: The Rebellion of Tides (1997) and All Little Devils (1999).
