Paraf, a punk rock and later post-punk band from Rijeka, Croatia, was formed by Valter Kocijančić, Zdravko Čabrijan, and Dušan Ladavac "Pjer". The group played their first gig at Belvedere in Rijeka on December 31, 1976. In 1979, Paraf released their single "Rijeka" and appeared on the compilation album Novi punk val 78-80. Their debut album A dan je tako lijepo počeo was released in 1980. The band's lineup changed significantly after Kocijančić left, with Pavica Mijatović joining as the vocalist and new members including Mladen Vičić "Riči" and Raul Varlen. This shift led to a transition towards post-punk music. Their album Izleti was released in 1981, featuring notable songs like "Pobuna bubuljica" and "Tužne uši". The band's album, Zastave, produced by themselves with Borghesia member Aldo Ivančić, was released in 1984.
