Lord of Mushrooms, a French metal band originating from Nice, was formed in 1999 by Laurent James and Julien Negro. Initially known as Dyoxyne, the group began recording their debut concept album, Lord of Mushrooms, in 2002, which was released on the French label Musea. This release allowed the band to gain international recognition, performing across Europe. Their second album, Seven Deadly Songs, was released in September 2005 by Lion Music, featuring a concept based on the seven deadly sins. The group performed at the Midi Music Festival in Beijing in October 2005, marking their entry into the Chinese market. In February 2012, Lord of Mushrooms released their third album, Perspectives, also through Lion Music. This period saw the band's first official music video on YouTube in April 2012. The group is known for blending rock, metal, and progressive elements, with influences from bands like Genesis and Pink Floyd.
