Lee McBee, born on March 23, 1951 in Kansas City, Missouri, was an American harmonica player and electric blues musician. He began his music career in the late 1960s, playing with various local bands such as Bob Wire and the Worm Ranch Wranglers, Screaming Lee and the Rocktones, Used Parts, and the Lynch-McBee Band. In 1985, McBee met guitarist Mike Morgan and formed the band The Crawl, which toured extensively across the United States, Canada, and Europe, and recorded on major blues labels. After twelve years with The Crawl, McBee started a side project called The Passions in 1994, which later evolved into Lee McBee and the Confessors. In 2009, McBee was inducted into the Kansas Music Hall of Fame. He passed away on June 24, 2014.
