Falk Zenker is a German guitarist, sound artist, and composer born in 1967 in Mittweida. He established a musical background studying concert guitar and jazz at the Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt Weimar (1987–1992), where he subsequently served as a lecturer between 1996 and 1999. Zenker’s recording career featured the collaborative album Desde la luz (1996) with Oscar Andrade. His solo discography included the albums Landschaften (2000), Cinema (2002), Gedankenreise (2009), and Falkenflug (2017). His professional activity featured scores for films and documentaries, including Das Flüstern der Bäume, Der Friedrich-Schiller-Code, and Die Kinder von Buchenwald. In 2006, Zenker recorded the album Salutare with the ensemble Nu:n and founded the Internationale Musik- und Keramiksymposium in Kapellendorf. Zenker specialized in acoustic guitar performances incorporating jazz, flamenco, and live electronics, collaborating with Peter Finger starting in 2010.
