Leilah Moreno, born Leila Coelho Gonçalves on January 29, 1987, in São José dos Campos, Brazil, is a singer. She started her career at age seven with the group Última Hora and formed her own band by age twelve. In 2002, Moreno released her debut album Meus Segredos under Warner Music, which sold 50,000 copies. She opened for Gloria Gaynor in São Paulo and was recognized as one of Europe's top 100 voices of the century in 2003. In 2004, she released the album Censurado and the song "Vem dançar", and joined the band for the TV show Altas Horas in 2005. She released the album V.I.P. (2006) under Universal Music, featuring the song "Levanta a Mão". In 2006, Moreno was nominated for three Latin Grammy Awards: Best New Artist, Urban Album of the Year (V.I.P.), and Urban Song of the Year ("Levanta a Mão").
