A3bandas, a Spanish rap group from Alcalá de Henares, Madrid, was formed in 2001 by DJ Mesh (Jorge Gómez Mateo), Lumier (José Caballero Gómez), and Rayden (David Martínez Álvarez). Initially known as Assamitas, the trio released their first demo tape Técnicas de ataque in 2003. They changed their name to A3bandas and gained recognition through victories in competitions such as Lebuqe's Proyecto Demo, winning with "A capa y espada" from their second demo No hay símil. The group released several albums, including Zigurat (2006) and Galería de héroes (2008), featuring collaborations with notable artists like Carpe DM and Ferran MDE. Rayden individually won the Red Bull Batalla de los Gallos in 2006. In June 2018, A3bandas disbanded due to communication issues among members.
