Jazzchor Freiburg, a vocal jazz group from Germany, was founded in 1990 under the direction of Bertrand Gröger. The ensemble initially gained recognition through performances and competitions, including winning first prizes at the Deutscher Chorwettbewerb in 1998 and the Chorolympiade Korea in 2002. Their repertoire spanned vocal jazz from swing to fusion, often featuring Gröger's arrangements of works by Miles Davis and John Coltrane. Their debut album Ham-me-no-ma was released in 1995, followed by notable works such as Korean Tour (2005) and A cappella (2012). The group has collaborated with prominent artists like Bobby McFerrin and the Swingle Singers, and performed at prestigious festivals including the Montreux Jazz Festival and the Rheingau Music Festival.
