Haim Moshe, born September 20, 1955, in Ramat HaSharon, Israel, is an Israeli singer known for blending Yemenite and Mediterranean music with mainstream Israeli and western pop. His parents were Yemenite Jews who immigrated to Israel after World War II.
Moshe began his professional career with the band Sounds of the Vineyard (Tzliley Ha-Kerem). His breakthrough album, Ahavat Hayay (Love of My Life), released in 1983, featured hit songs "Ahavat Hayay" and "Linda," which gained him a following among Palestinians and Arabs. Moshe's music became popular not only with Israelis but also with Arabs in surrounding countries, making him a positive symbol of Israel within the Arab world and of Mizrahi culture within Israel.
