The Tamperer, an Italian dance music group, was formed in 1998 and consisted of record producers Mario Fargetta and Alex Farolfi. The group initially featured American singer Maya Days. Their breakthrough came with the release of "Feel It", which reached number one in both the United Kingdom and Ireland in 1998. This success led to the release of their follow-up single," If You Buy This Record (Your Life Will Be Better)" featuring Maya. The group's music often sampled popular hits, such as The Jacksons' "Can You Feel It" and Madonna's "Material Girl". In early 2000, The Tamperer released their final single, "Hammer to the Heart", which peaked within the top ten in the United Kingdom. The group also produced and remixed for other artists under the Tamperer alias. Notable achievements include chart-topping singles and certifications such as Gold and Platinum status from various music associations.
