The Orquesta de la Comunidad de Madrid, a Spanish symphony orchestra based in Madrid, was founded in 1987. It is the official orchestra of the Community of Madrid and became the resident orchestra at the Teatro de la Zarzuela in 1998, alternating performances between the pit and stage. Miguel Groba served as the first principal conductor and artistic director from 1987 to 2000, followed by José Ramón Encinar (2000–2013) and Víctor Pablo Pérez (2013–2021). Marzena Diakun became the first female conductor in this role from 2021 to 2024. In January 2024, Alondra de la Parra was announced as the next principal conductor and artistic director, effective with the 2024-2025 season.
