Anthony Srock, emerged from Detroit’s club scene as a DJ and producer who founded the techno-industrial project Final Cut in the late 1980s. After collaborating with DJ Jeff Mills, Anthony Srock released the single “Take Me Away” in 1989, followed by the debut album Deep into the Cut the same year, which blended industrial motifs with Detroit techno. In 1992, Final Cut signed with I.R.S. Records and issued the album Consumed, featuring a live touring band with Anthony Srock on lead vocals. The same year, the single “Methodical Virtue (Release Control)” highlighted the group’s evolving sound. A 1996 release, Atonement, introduced funk-influenced guitar elements to the established industrial framework, and the 1998 remix EP Grind expanded the project’s repertoire. Anthony Srock later founded Full Effect Records, and in 2009 the track “Take Me Away” was sampled in The Prodigy’s hit “Warrior’s Dance”.
