Paul Geremia, born on April 21, 1944 in Providence, Rhode Island, is an American blues singer and acoustic guitarist. He recorded his first album Just Enough in 1968, influenced by the rural blues tradition and the folk music revival of the 1960s. Paul Geremia has consistently adhered to a traditional ethic with his acoustic playing, never recording with electric guitar. His discography includes notable releases such as Paul Geremia (1971), Hard Life Rockin' Chair (1973), and I Really Don't Mind Livin' (1982). In 2002, his rendition of "Get Right Church" by Fred McDowell was featured on the Grammy-nominated album Preachin’ the Blues: The Music of Mississippi Fred McDowell. Two of Paul Geremia's releases, Gamblin' Woman Blues (1993) and Self Portrait in Blues (1994), were both nominated for W.C. Handy Awards. He was inducted into the Rhode Island Music Hall of Fame in 2013. Subsequent releases include The Devil's Music (1999) and Love, Murder & Mosquitos (2004). Paul Geremia died on March 14, 2026, at the age of 81.
