Susanna Andersson, a Swedish operatic soprano born on December 7, 1977 in Östersund, began her musical journey at Ljungskile College Institute before moving to London. She graduated from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 2003 with First Class Honours. In May 2003, Andersson won the Guildhall School of Music and Drama’s Gold Medal Competition. Her stage debut was as Zerlina in Grange Park Opera's production of Mozart's Don Giovanni in 2005. She gained international recognition through the ECHO Rising Stars series at the Barbican Theatre in 2006 and 2007, performing recitals with pianist Eugene Asti in multiple cities. Notable opera roles include Lucia in Britten's Rape of Lucretia (2003), The Queen of the Night in Mozart's The Magic Flute (2006), and Oscar in Verdi's Un ballo in maschera (2013).
