Davut Güloğlu, born 1972 in Rize, Turkey, is a Turkish pop singer whose musical journey began after early life hardships and a stint in amateur football. He entered formal training in Istanbul in 1991 at a music school founded by Arif Sağ, where his talent was nurtured. His breakthrough came with the 2001 single "Nurcanım", which blended pop with Black Sea regional elements, notably the kemençe. He followed with the 2003 single "Katula Katula" and subsequently released studio albums and EPs Nurcanım (2000), Katula Katula (2003), Dur Orda Dur (2004), Çat Çat (2005), and Kapak Olsun (2007). Throughout his career, he collaborated with Emel Müftüoğlu and achieved chart success in Turkey, earning a Kral Turkey Music Award for Best Newcomer in 2002.
