Daniel Sepec is a German violinist born in 1965 in Frankfurt am Main. He studied at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Frankfurt am Main under Dieter Vorholz and later at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna under Gerhard Schulz. In 1993, he became concertmaster of the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen. With this ensemble, he recorded Johann Sebastian Bach's Violin Concertos and Antonio Vivaldi's "Le quattro stagioni". Sepec performed as a guest concertmaster for the Chamber Orchestra of Europe and Camerata Salzburg. He was a regular member of the Balthasar-Neumann-Ensemble and co-founded the Arcanto Quartett in 2004. In 2011, he received the Jahrespreis der deutschen Schallplattenkritik for his recording of Heinrich Ignaz Franz Biber's Rosenkranz-Sonaten. He held professorships at the Hochschule für Musik Basel and the Musikhochschule Lübeck.
