Seyyal Taner is a Turkish singer and actress who was born in 1952 in Şanlıurfa, Turkey. After receiving vocal training from Şerif Yüzbaşıoğlu, she released her debut single “Tanrı Şahidimdir – Şimdi Sen Varsın” (1974). She achieved a breakthrough with the successful single “Son Verdim Kalbimin İşine – Elveda” (1976). Her discography includes the studio albums Lider (1981), Leyla (1986), and Nanay (1989). In 1987, she represented Turkey at the Eurovision Song Contest with the group Lokomotif, performing the song “Şarkım Sevgi Üstüne” (1987). Taner later released the album Alladı Pulladı (1991) and the best-of collection Seyyalname (2002). Her subsequent recordings include the EP Ethnic Rock (2012) and the studio album 3'Lü (2014).
