Rob Bakker, known professionally as Muneshine, is a Canadian musician and DJ. He began his career producing and mixing music, forming the group Lightheaded in 2000. Their debut album Pure Thoughts was released in 2001 to critical acclaim in Japan. The following year, Muneshine collaborated with Emilio Rojas as Phocus, releasing the EP A Vision and a Plan (2004). His first solo album, Opportunity Knocks, followed in 2005, featuring collaborations with Pete Rock and DJ Spinna. Throughout his career, Muneshine has released several albums, including There is Only Today (2012) and In Transit (2014). He transitioned to electronic music in 2015 with the release of "Sunshine" and continued this direction with the EP Full Throttle in 2017. Muneshine has also collaborated extensively with Canadian MC D-Sisive, winning a SOCAN Echo Songwriting Award for "Nobody with a Notepad" from D-Sisive's album Let the Children Die.
