Alessandro Carmelo "Teddy" Randazzo, born on 13 May 1935 in Brooklyn, was an American pop songwriter, singer, arranger, and producer. He started his career playing accordion with The Three Chuckles, achieving a top 20 hit with "Runaround" in 1954. The following year, he became the group's lead singer, contributing to hits like "Times Two, I Love You". His solo career included three singles that made the Billboard Hot 100, notably "Little Serenade" (number 66) in 1958 and "The Way of a Clown" (number 44) in 1960. In the 1960s, he wrote numerous hit songs with composing partner Bobby Weinstein, including "Pretty Blue Eyes" for Steve Lawrence, and several hits for Little Anthony and the Imperials, such as "Goin' Out of My Head". His work was recorded by a wide range of artists, including Ella Fitzgerald and Frank Sinatra. His song "Goin' Out of My Head" is included in the top 50 most recorded songs with sales of over 100 million. He died on 21 November 2003, at his home in Orlando. In 2007, Teddy Randazzo and Bobby Weinstein were inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
