Equilibrio Vital, a Venezuelan progressive rock band, was formed on June 1, 1980. The band initially consisted of Marcos Chacón and Carlos Serga, with Guillermo González joining soon after. Equilibrio Vital released their debut album Equilibrio Vital in 1983 through the Venezuelan label COLOR. Their second album, Kazmor El Prisionero (1984), was also released through COLOR. In 1986, they organized Rock’s Tour 86 “Las dos Caras del Rock,” inviting the Minneapolis band Dare Force. Despite facing challenges such as the untimely death of Marcos Chacón in December 2001, Equilibrio Vital continued their musical journey. They released Tributo a Marcos Chacón in 2003 through Musea Records, which included three new tracks featuring Chacón's voice.
