Phil Kelsall

Philip Julian Kelsall is an English theatre organist. Inspired to learn the instrument by Reginald Dixon, Kelsall began his career as an organist at the Blackpool Tower Circus band aged 18 in 1975 and later deputised for Ernest Broadbent in the Ballroom itself. After Broadbent's retirement, Kelsall was appointed principal organist at the Blackpool Tower Ballroom in 1977. He has made numerous television and radio appearances, including on BBC Radio 2’s The Organist Entertains, Strictly Come Dancing, and Friday Night is Music Night. Kelsall's extensive discography includes albums such as Unforgettable Hits Of The 50s (1988). He was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire in June 2010.
