Maria Lund, born in 1983 in Munich, Germany, is a singer of Finnish-Romanian origin. She began her musical journey at age 16, starting a career in jazz alongside her mother, Tamara Lund. During this period, she collaborated with notable Finnish artists such as Heikki Sarmanto, Sakari Kukko, and Jarmo Savolainen. Maria Lund released her debut album Lähtöpiste... in 2004, followed by Äänet hämärässä in 2005. In 2008, she released Ajan sävel. She also participated in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2010 as a candidate to represent Finland, finishing fifteenth.
