Tramp Attack is an English rock group formed in Liverpool in 2000 by actor Kristian Ealey, Matt Barton, drummer Ian Lane, bassist Scott Dulson and guitarist Tony Dunne. After Dulson was replaced by James Redmond and Dunne by Dave McCabe, the band quickly secured residencies in local pubs and clubs and won a Battle Of The Bands at The Royal Court; their debut single "Rocky Hangover" was released in 2001 on Honey Records, produced by Rob Ferrier, with B‑sides "Broken Man" and "Ladybird". In 2003 the group issued the EP Oh! When The Sun Goes Down, followed by the album Attack, Attack, Attack… (2004), through Must Destroy, and later Call in Sick (2006) on The Viper Label; the track "Oh! When The Sun Goes Down" was featured in the opening titles of the BBC drama The Responder in 2022. The band experienced a brief split in early 2007 but reassembled, adding Dunne on keyboards, and continued touring Liverpool and beyond, including the Coniston Festival. Former vocalist Kristian Ealey died in May 2016 at age 38; posthumously, the album I Got Lost Down the Back of My Couch was self‑released in 2022, and bassist James Redmond released the solo album Video City 2 in 2023 featuring Ian Lane and Dave McCabe.
