Sven Erik Libaek, also known as Sven Libaek, born on September 20, 1938, in Norway, is a Norwegian-Australian composer, record producer, and musician. He trained as both a pianist and an actor at the Juilliard School in New York and first achieved international recognition with his role in the film Windjammer, where he performed as a piano soloist. Libaek moved to Australia in 1960 and was hired by CBS Records (Australia) in 1963, serving as musical director and A&R manager. He produced over two hundred singles and albums, including notable works with the surf music band The Atlantics. His tenure at CBS included producing the hit "Bombora". Libaek left CBS in 1968 to work as a freelance composer and established his own music production company. He composed soundtracks for various Australian films and TV series, including The Set, To Ride a White Horse, and Nature Walkabout.
