Zoë Badwi, born Zoë on May 4, 1986, in Germany, is an Australian singer. Raised in Melbourne, Victoria, she began her career as a model and actress before transitioning into music. Badwi's music journey started with the girl group Sirens, where she replaced an original member. The group had minor success with singles like "Like Fire, Like Rain" and a cover of "I'm So Excited". Badwi then pursued a solo career after being discovered by Grant Smillie from TV Rock. She signed with Neon Records and released her debut single "Release Me" in November 2008, which reached Number 1 on the ARIA Clubs Chart and received nominations for "Best Dance Release" at the 2009 ARIA Music Awards and "Dance Work of the Year" at the 2010 APRA Awards. Her fourth single "Freefallin" peaked at number 9 on the ARIA Singles Chart and was certified platinum. In September 2010, she signed with Atlantic Records in the US. Badwi released her self-titled debut album Zoë in August 2011, featuring collaborations with Static Revenger, TV Rock, Stuart Crichton, Rogue Traders, and Amy Pearson. Notable singles from this period include "Accidents Happen" and "Carry Me Home". In September 2012, she released the single "Shoot Me Down". Badwi was featured on several other artists' releases in June 2016, including covers with The Potbelleez and collaborations with Paki and Jaro. She supported Little Mix's Glory Days Tour in Australia and New Zealand in 2017.
