Elektryczne Gitary, a Polish rock band formed in 1989 by Rafał Kwaśniewski, Piotr Łojek, and Kuba Sienkiewicz, gained popularity quickly with their distinctive sense of humor and self-deprecating irony. Their primary goal was to perform original songs with a rock sound, with most of the band's repertoire written by Sienkiewicz. The band released their debut studio album Wielka radość in 1992 under the Zic Zac label, which included hits like "Jestem z miasta" and "Przewróciło się". In 1996, they signed with PolyGram Polska and released a live album Chałtury, featuring recordings from two Warsaw concerts. The band's popularity was revitalized in 2006 with the release of Atomistyka under Warner Music Poland. They also created soundtracks for films like Kiler (1997) and Career of Nikos Dyzma (2002), with the former becoming one of the best-selling Polish film soundtracks in history.
