Lori Glori is an American singer and songwriter born as Lori Ham on 10 October 1962 in Oceanside, California. She began her musical career singing gospel in the Bayview Baptist Church in San Francisco. She established the ensemble Ham Sisters with her siblings and achieved professional recognition for winning local talent competitions. She achieved professional recognition as the vocalist for the ensemble Bill Summers and Summers Heat. Her recording career included the tracks “Call It What You Want” (1981), “Straight to the Bank” (1981), and “Jam the Box” (1981). After moving to Germany, she released the debut single “Body & Soul” (1992) produced by Frank Farian. She achieved professional recognition as the vocalist for the ensemble Intermission with the tracks “Piece of My Heart” (1993) which reached number 8 in Germany and “Six Days” (1994) which reached number 20. Her discography included the track “Give Peace a Chance” (1994). Glori provided vocals for the DJ BoBo tracks “Let the Dream Come True” (1994), “There Is a Party” (1994), and “Shadows of the Night” (1996). She achieved professional recognition for collaborations with the ensembles Loft and Centory. In 2022, she received Grammy Award nominations for the tracks “Children of the World” and “Count Your Blessings”.
