Annet Artani, born Annette Denise Stamatelatos on September 6, 1976, in Flushing, New York, is a Greek-American singer-songwriter. She began her musical journey at a young age, influenced by artists like Etta James and Aretha Franklin. Artani's early career included singing with her sister Diana in the rock band Nootropia and winning several talent titles in various pageants. Artani's breakthrough came when she was invited to be a backing vocalist for Britney Spears' Dream Within a Dream Tour in 2002, which led to co-writing the hit single "Everytime" with Spears. In 2004, Artani participated in the Greek reality show Fame Story and released the single "Goodbye Amor" (2006). She also represented Cyprus in the Eurovision Song Contest 2006 with "Why Angels Cry" (2006).
